Is to put and keep you in conact with your customers in a way that brings them back to your business often and gladly.
Put simply, if you want to build your customer base you need to stay in touch and treat them well. There are just two rules in my mind when it comes to customer service:

The customer is always right.
Rule #2
When the customer is wrong, see Rule #1.
This is what it is all about, the customer and providing excellent support and communciation. If there were no customers there'd be no business. A simple yet often forgotten concept.
